Cathedral of the Transfiguration founded in 1131 by the Norman king Roger II. Famous for the mosaic of Christ Pantokrator as well as others found in the apse of Byzantine art, the imposing towers and the capitulary cloister, the oldest in Sicily, with double columns with coupled capitals.

Since 2015 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the“Arab-Norman Palermo and the cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale site.
