Megalithic walls and Postierla

2 Piazza Garibaldi, Cefalù

Posizione/Location

Probably built in the fifth century BC, perhaps on pre-existing remote structures, they are called megalithic because they are made up of enormous blocks.

Restructured and integrated several times, until at least the sixteenth century, the different "seams" can be observed by descending on the rocks from the Postierla, a spectacular opening in the walls.
